The ADF batsmen were tormented by the spinning trio of Thevan Raj (3 wickets), Shankar Goonasagaran (3 wickets) and Kushan Asela (2 wickets). ADF managed to score 59 before getting bowled out by Sticks Tigers after 15.3 overs.

Sticks Tigers began their innings requiring approximately 3 runs an over, started strongly and managed to get to their target of 60 runs in just 8.2 overs. ADF started off cautiously with openers Richard Turnley and Dean Leck scoring 29 runs and 10 runs respectively. STICKS TIGERS VS FRIENDS CRICKET CLUB (FCC)

The Sticks Tigers’ skipper, Keithan Goonasagaran chose the right side of the coin before putting FCC in to bat to what seemed like a sensible decision. A fantastic bowling performance by young off-spinner Shankar Goonsagaran grabbing 5 wickets for 26 runs off 4 overs and Kushan Asela provided a fine bowling performance with 3 wickets for 5 runs in just 2.2 overs. Only Showkat Ahmad (30 runs) and Aamir Bhat (10 runs) got to double figures. FCC made a mere 67 runs all out in 15.2 overs.

Sticks Tigers did not find it easy going chasing the target of 68 runs. They suffered a mighty blow by losing Keithan Goonasagaran (national under 19 player) on the first ball of the innings, falling victim to Aziz Khan. Reza Ul-Haque (27 runs), Kushan Asela (14 runs) and Kavintheran Kumar (11 runs) were the only notable scorers. FCC fought really hard to defend their low total but could not defend it despite their effort. Akbar Khan (2 wickets for 19 runs off 4 overs), Aamir Bhat (1 wicket for 8 runs) and Aziz Khan (1 wicket for 10 runs off 4 overs) bowled good lines for FCC. Sticks Tigers crawled to their target of 68 runs for 6 wickets with only 1.4 overs left in the innings.

RESULT: STICKS TIGERS WON BY 4 WICKETS
