PCA 2011 T20 League Update: Sticks, RMN and FCC gain points

Saturday (26th Feb 2011)

Sticks Tigers VS Royal Malaysian Navy

Sticks Tigers batted first and amassed score of 202 for 7 off 20 overs. Top scorers: Kushan Asela (47 runs not out), Varun Nadesh (35 runs) and Kavintheran Kumar (38 runs). Top bowlers: Norzaifee (3 wickets for 48 runs off 4 overs) and Kamarulrizal (2 wickets for 37 runs off 3 overs)
  
203 run! highest score in PCA T20 yet!

Lumut Navy scored 146 for 9 off 20 overs. They started well but found the asking rate to be too high ( 10 an over! ). Top scorers: Kamarul Afende (44 runs), Kamarulrizal (33 runs) and Saifolnizam (22 runs). Top bowlers: Varun Nadesh (3 wickets for 29 runs off 4 overs), Mohmudur (2 wickets for 24 runs off 4 overs) and Kushan Asela (2 wickets for 27 runs off 4 overs)

RESULT: STICKS TIGERS WON THE MATCH BY 56 RUNS


Sunday (27th Feb 2011)

Australian Defence Force (ADF) VS Royal Malaysian Navy ( RMN )

ADF batted first scored of 124 for 6 off 20 overs. Top scorers: Curtis (37 runs not out) and Robbo (18 runs). Top bowlers: Saifol (2 wickets for 23 runs off 4 overs) and Chandra (2 wickets for 21 runs off 4 overs)

RMN scored 125 for 6 off 15.4 overs. Top scorers: Nazirul (50 runs), Rudy (36 runs) and Nai Pricha (15 runs not out). Top bowlers: Dale (2 wickets for 5 runs off 1 over) and Mohmudur (2 wickets for 34 runs off 4 overs)


RESULT: Royal Malaysian Navy WON THE MATCH BY 4 WICKETS


Millenium Cricket Club (MCC) VS Friends Cricket Club (FCC)

MCC batted first and scored of 125 for 7 off 20 overs. Top scorers: Shah Purav (41 runs not out) and Nadeem (14 runs). Top bowlers: Aamir Bhat (2 wickets for 23 runs off 4 overs) and Aziz (1 wicket for 21 runs off 4 overs)

FCC scored 128 for 2 off 13.4 overs. Top scorers: Aamir Bhat (60 runs not out) and Akbar Khan (28 runs not out). Top bowler: Ehsan Ullah (1 wicket for 23 runs off 3 overs)

RESULT: FCC WON THE MATCH BY 8 WICKETS



After the 2 week of the tournament looks like the penang juniors, playing under the sponsorship of Sticks Cafe ( Queens Bay Mall ) is leading the table with PSC, ADF and RMN at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively. FCC and MCC have some catching up to do! See some stats below:
